Hi! My name is Trixie!
Welcome to the animals page on the by Lauree's website!
Well, it's Fabruary now and we are still waiting for baby calves to be born! But that won't happen until about a week after Valentines Day.
We have a new cat that lives here now. She came last October. Her name is Abbey. We call her Abbey the Tabby or sometimes Peewee because she's little. She will live with the barn cats most of the time but she is too little to have to stay outside this winter so she is growing up in the house. This summer she will move to the barn and learn to live out there. The other barn cats have met her but they aren't sure if she's friendly yet so they kind of stay away from her. By next fall when it starts getting cold out they will know her well and they will all snuggle up together and stay warm.
Lauree does the wheat weaving and quilting here. Last summer she did a silly thing. She was coloring some straw with dye and she wore gloves to keep her hands from getting stained but she didn't realize there was a hole in a glove by her thumb and she colored her thumb green! She got a new glove to dye some straw blue and wore it on ther other hand. Well, there was a hole in that glove too! She ended up with a green thumb and a blue thumb! It sure looked funny!
Our weather was cool but really cold for a while but it's freezing out right now. I sure hope it warms up soon!
Dont forget to visit the black kitty on this page. She doesn't need to wear any winter clothes...she has a fur coat! Move the pointer over and around her with your computer mouse and she will move and play and sometimes meow at you! When you rub her tummy she purrs. Be sure to turn your volume up so you can hear her. (I think she is watching me and the cows!)

Here are Coco, Pudge and Abbey relaxing in the house on a cold day..
Lauree was dyeing some straw last summer and there were holes in the gloves she was wearing so she got a blue thumb and a green thumb!
